Give me a doublehighfive bk
as you probably have figured out by now, I love to experiment with styles and clothes to see what might work and what doesn’t…Inspiration comes from everywhere… an old, already forgotten piece in the deepest corner of your closet or fun, colorful bracelets in the mail and then you just cannot help but to go crazy about the rest. Either that or maybe I just needed a good excuse to challenge my inner 80’s vibe 😉
Regardless the reason, I totally enjoyed making these pictures in a baseball court near my home reviving the nostalgia of wild graffiti painted walls, neon colors, Converse All Stars, gigantic hoop earrings and colorful bracelets.
Latest are -believe it or not- hand made from recycled rubber flip flops. The Brooklyn based brand is called doublehighfivebk. You might want to check out their website, https://www.doublehighfivebk.com/. What I find pretty cool about this bracelets-beside how they are made, is that they feel super soft and are absolutely lightweight and you don’t need to take off a piece while doing sports or showering. You can choose from a million different color combinations and then mix and match them together..
Plus, I find the idea of the founder, Chloe Thompson, pretty awesome to offer a brides & parties section. How cool is that to gift your friends or guests such a cute special gift beautifully wrapped. Definitely something to remember…based on a great inspiration…
And there we are back on the basketball court…in my 80’s inspired outfit…I am curious to find out when this trend is making it back into our wardrobes ;)))
