a walk in the park

NEW YORK. There is nothing more beautiful than to enjoy a long stroll in Central Park on a sunny day. The flowers are blooming, trees full of leaves and everywhere people enjoying the warmth of the sun. It is truly amazing…There is this perfectly peaceful place right in the middle of the most incredible, fast-pacing city and it feels just as if time stands still when I am walking through the park. I guess you know what I mean. I just love it.

Today I decided to go more casual… T-shirt, Skirt, Sandals… Fortunately I had found the most perfect pair a couple of weeks ago. Right from the first time when I tried this Fiorentini and Baker Berna Babylon strap sandals with the chunky heels on, I knew they would be made for walking. And I am so glade that I was right. I think it is quite hard to find a great pair of shoes that is chic and comfortable at the same time. These absolutely are. And by the way, you will probably find them in most of my following posts since I am about to start a road trip with my family and I went for light luggage 😉 So let us see how versatile these sandals are…

For the rest of the look I played hard on accessories. Currently I have a big crush on ear cuffs. Mine are from Topshop.  I don’t know why. Maybe it is because I have actually never had my ears pierced and am therefore not able to go for regular earrings. But these cute cuffs are just the perfect add on to every outfit. They are small silver-toned rings with pearls at the ends. Love, love, love…

Another favorite accessory of mine are scarfs. I am obsessed…So many different ways to wear and endless possibilities to combine them. You can wear them as actual scarf, belt or turban …you name it. I actually love the colorful ones from Johnny Was for summer. They look so much fun and add a nice pop of color to any outfit. Especially went you decide to go rather monochrome for the rest as I did.

What is you favorite accessory for the summer?
